Rossi: Attacking Lorenzo carried "too much risk" in Austria

Valentino Rossi says he is unhappy to have missed out on the chance of a podium finish in Sunday’s Austrian Grand Prix, but was content with the relatively small gap between himself and Ducati. The Italian rider finished just behind Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo in fourth place at the Red Bull Ring, as Ducati ended its long MotoGP victory drought with a one-two for riders Andrea Iannone and Andrea Dovizioso. Despite tailing Lorenzo for much of the race after the frantic early exchanges, Rossi was never in a position to try and overtake, later admitting that any such attempt would have been too risky.
