Movistar Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo is hoping to put up a strong performance in Le Mans this weekend in order to catch up with Marc Marquez atop the MotoGP standings. The reigning MotoGP champion began his season with a bang as he came first in Qatar before faltering in Argentina, where he was forced to retire after crashing. He bounced back with second place finishes in America and at Jerez, but still trails Marquez by 17 points.
