Espargaro confident of day two gains
Monster Yamaha Tech 3's Pol Espargaro ended FP1 in 11th position in Qatar but persevered with the same tyre throughout the whole session on the satellite YZR-M1. Espargaro's time of 1m 56.361s left him in 11th place and 1.080s down on pacesetter Marc Marquez, but the 23-year-old – who clocked the fastest speed of the Yamaha riders of 344.6kph – isn't overly concerned after running with the same tyre in FP1. “Today was not a bad start to the 2015 season as we were fast straight away.
