Smith: Our bike is 95 per cent there
Monster Yamaha Tech 3's Bradley Smith says he only needs to find another 'five per cent' with his YZR-M1 to be in an optimum position for the opening round of the MotoGP World Championship in Qatar. The British rider set the eighth fastest time on day two of the final pre-season test behind fellow countryman Cal Crutchlow, lapping in 1m 55.648s as he finished 0.741s down on the best time overall set by Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso. Smith, who chalked up 49 laps under the floodlights at the Losail International Circuit, said: “I managed to save one set of tyres, which will enable us to do a long run tomorrow as well as my practice sessions, so now I need a good rest and I will then go for it...
