Crutchlow satisfied with Silverstone improvements
Cal Crutchlow was satisfied to have set his best ever lap of the Silverstone circuit but wasn't totally enamoured to be starting from the third row of the grid for Sunday's MotoGP race. The Englishman was the third of the 'Factory' mounted British riders as he rode to the eighth fastest time in Q2, 0.2s off Bradley Smith in sixth. Considering he finished Friday afternoon in 15th, Crutchlow was relieved to have ended the day further up the order and pointed towards issues in a number of the circuit's braking zones as an area in need of improvement. “It was a big improvement from yesterday,” said Crutchlow. “I don't think I could have been any slower than yesterday so I'm quite pleased...
