Friday put forth evidence to suggest HRC and Marc Marquez are working through the issues that have afflicted their recent MotoGP form. Fastest in the morning and second in the afternoon, the Spaniard ended the first MotoGP day in Barcelona close to 0.6s faster than man-of-the-moment Jorge Lorenzo. Marquez's times were impressive. His morning best, set on the medium compound rear, was three tenths of a second faster than the official circuit record. His FP2 time was four tenths faster again and only bettered by Aleix Espargaro's Suzuki, benefiting from the softer Bridgestone rubber.
