Rookie Vinales hails best result yet at Mugello
MotoGP rookie Maverick Vinales celebrated his best ever premier class result after finishing seventh for Suzuki in the Italian MotoGP at Mugello. The 20-year-old Spaniard, who qualified in ninth place on the GSX-RR, gained a few places after Carl Crutchlow and Marc Marquez crashed out of the race, while Andrea Dovizioso was a retirement on the Ducati. However, it was an excellent effort by the highly rated young prospect, who is growing in confidence with each race on the Suzuki. “This race is my best result of the season and I can't help being satisfied.
