Dovizioso on top again in FP2 at Mugello
Andrea Dovizioso again set the fastest time in the second free practice session for the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello for Ducati. Track temperatures were much warmer than this morning’s session, and Valentino Rossi set the early pace in the 45-minute session on his factory Yamaha on 1m48.460s. That benchmark was soon eclipsed by teammate – and recent form man – Jorge Lorenzo, who unleashed a ferocious series of quick laps: 1m48.098s, then 1m48.035s and a 1m47.966s. On his second run, Lorenzo lowered the P1 time to 1m47.852s, just before Honda's Marc Marquez hit his sweet spot and beat him with 1m47.776 and then a 1m47.643s. Dovizioso was only fifth after his first run, four tenths off...
