Aleix Espargaro will undergo surgery on the right hand injury sustained in a massive practice highside at Le Mans. Although cleared to continue after x-rays at the Medical Centre, the Suzuki star underwent further checks in Barcelona today (Monday) which diagnosed a 'rupture of the collateral ligament of the thumb'. Surgery will take place on Tuesday morning with Espargaro remaining in hospital overnight.
