Jerez MotoGP test times - Session 1

Ahead of this weekend's Spanish MotoGP season-opener, an Official test is being held at the Jerez circuit today, marking the first time most riders have been on their MotoGP bikes since Qatar in February. Reigning world champion Marc Marquez set the only sub 1m 38s lap of the morning session, knocking Jack Miller from the top of the timesheets in the final five minutes. The Pramac Ducati rider would then be demoted all the way down to 7th by a flurry of fast laps. When the chequered flag came out, Suzuki's Alex Rins was closest to Marquez, followed by Yamaha's Valentino Rossi (who had spent much of the 90-minutes outside the top ten) and Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro.
