KTM confirms Honda have made Espargaro 2021 offer

KTM team manager Mike Leitner has admitted that lead MotoGP pilot Pol Espargaro has received an official offer from Honda to join Marc Marquez for 2021. Rumours have circulated recently that Honda had decided to pursue Espargaro for the second factory ride alongside reigning MotoGP champion Marquez, despite new signing Alex Marquez having not yet raced for the Japanese manufacturer.   Losing Espargaro would be a huge blow to KTM, the Spaniard having led the development of the RC16 since the manufacturer joined the MotoGP fold ahead of the ’17 campaign.
