MotoGP officially confirms Jerez July season start plans

MotoGP organisers Dorna Sports has confirmed that it has approached the Andalusia government to hold a pair of races at the Jerez circuit in mid-July. Reports surfaced last weekend that Dorna were getting ever closer to finally getting the MotoGP season underway with a pair of contests at the Spanish venue, which was due to host the fifth round of the championship in early May before being postponed by tightening restrictions in Spain due to Covid-19.
