Mir to remain with Suzuki MotoGP team through 2021/22
Joan Mir will remain with Suzuki in MotoGP until at least
the end of 2022, the Japanese manufacturer announced this morning. Mir completed a promising rookie season in the premier class
last year having scored a best result of fifth in the Australian grand prix at
Phillip Island, ending up 12th in the riders’ standings despite missing three
races mid-season due to a testing injury inflicted at the official test at Brno. The ’17 Moto3 world champion says he is “extremely happy” to
remain with Suzuki going forward, the marque running an unchanged line-up for
the next two seasons by virtue of having re-signed Alex Rins for the same
