Miguel Oliveira ruled out of rest of Australian GP weekend following FP4 crash

Miguel Oliveira will not take part in the remainder of the Australian grand prix weekend after being declared unfit with severe hand swelling following his FP4 crash. The Tech 3 KTM man was blown off course at Turn 1 by the extreme winds that hit the Phillip Island circuit in FP4, going down heavily at around 180mph. Despite not suffering any bone breakages in the impact, Oliveira suffered severe swelling and pain with his hands and has therefore been ruled out for the remainder of the weekend, and will look to return for next week’s Malaysian event.
