Moto2 Misano: Bagnaia strengthens title challenge with home Moto2 pole
Pecco Bagnaia put the pressure on Miguel Oliveira with a stunning early lap to claim Moto2 pole position from Marcel Schrotter whilst Miguel Oliveira could only manage ninth position having to brush off a crash at Misano. With track temperatures rising, in the session, fast early laps would be key and it was the Moto2 World Championship leader who was on it from the off, lapping with his Sky Racing VR46 team-mate Luca Marini. Bagnaia’s fastest lap of a 1:37.121 was done on his sixth of eighteen laps and was 0.210 seconds clear of Schrotters best time to secure him the pole position.
