MotoGP Misano: Miller chases Lorenzo for pole

Jorge Lorenzo broke the MotoGP pole position record at Misano on his way to pole position holding off the surprise package of Jack Miller. The Factory Ducati man was fastest when testing here a couple of weeks ago carried his blistering hot form with him back to the Italian circuit to smash the pole position record. His initial fast lap of a 1:31.763 was already under the previous qualifying lap record of a 1:31.866 that is from 2016 on a medium front tyre and netted him provisional pole. After a second run, which he aborted early, Lorenzo fitted a new soft front tyre, which helped front end feel and saw him go a further tenth faster and end up on pole position with a 1:31.629. The...
