MotoGP Assen: Bagnaia fastest in extremely close Moto2 qualifying

Pecco Bagnaia claimed his second pole position of the season after the session was red flagged in the final minutes after a nasty crash that left Nikki Tuuli injured in the middle of the track. Bagnaia’s early lap time of a 1:37.608 was good enough to earn him his pole position with nobody improving to get ahead of the World Championship leader on his Sky Racing VR46 Kalex bike. Marcel Schrotter fresh on the back of his new two-year deal with the Dynavolt team will start from second position and Luca Marini on the second Sky Racing VR46 bike rounding out the front row.
