Lorenzo thought lap was deleted in Assen shootout

Jorge Lorenzo says he thought his laptime had been deleted in Assen MotoGP qualifying as he fell from a provisional pole position to 10th on the grid. Ducati rider Lorenzo briefly went quickest in the closing stages of the pole position shootout for the Dutch TT, although he was soon edged by Andrea Iannone, who was following in his slipstream. However, with almost all the remaining riders in Q2 in one large group and benefitting from each other's slipstreams, Lorenzo slipped down to 10th place at the chequered flag, 0.376 seconds behind polesitter Marc Marquez.
