Austin working to reduce bumps for MotoGP race

The Circuit of the Americas is working to reduce the bumps in its track surface for next month's MotoGP race following criticism by riders last year. Many riders complained last season about the huge amount of bumps in certain parts of the Grand Prix of the Americas venue, which hosts the third round of the championship on April 22. Some pinned the blame on Formula 1, which also hosts its US race at Austin, as the high-downforce cars have a tendency to create ripples in the tarmac that make life harder for bikes.
