FIA and FIM approve Barcelona changes

– Representatives from the FIA and the FIM have approved changes undertaken at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which hosts both Formula 1 and MotoGP.Following the fatal accident involving Moto2 rider Luis Salom during practice for last year's Catalan Grand Prix, MotoGP reverted to Formula 1's layout for the remainder of the weekend.For 2017, circuit officials have built a new chicane for MotoGP, a few metres before the chicane used by Formula 1, and also returned to using a gravel run-off at the exit of Turn 13.Astroturf has been removed from Turns 10 through 16, replaced by a yellow kerb on the inside of Turns 10/11, Turns 13/14 and Turns 15/16, though these kerbs will be...
