MotoGP further restricts aero development
– MotoGP officials have elected to restrict aerodynamic development further in 2017 "in the interests of cost saving," the Grand Prix Commission confirmed on Tuesday.Earlier in the season the Commission elected to ban the use of controversial aerodynamic wings, commonly known as winglets, for next season, and it has now decided to clamp down further.The design of a bike's fairing and front mudguard must be submitted to MotoGP's Technical Director for homologation prior to next year's season-opener at Qatar.Thereafter, "only one upgrade of the fairing and one upgrade of the front mudguard is permitted in that season."It was clarified that this upgrade will apply...
