Iannone pain means Ducati unsure of Australia return
Ducati has confirmed that Andrea Iannone's spell on the sidelines could continue through the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island next weekend. Iannone has missed two races so far after picking up a back injury at Misano, and the Italian is absent from this week's Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi as well. A quicker return had been expected for Iannone, but continuous pain from his T3 microfracture means he is still not fully fit to compete. Ducati sporting director Pablo Ciabatti said: "Andrea still has pain, and Ducati would never put pressure on him. "We want him to come back when he is ready and at 100 percent."
