Iannone decides to skip Aragon GP, Pirro called up
Andrea Iannone has decided against racing in the Aragon motorcycle Grand Prix after suffering pain in FP1 from a lingering injury. Iannone, who fractured a T3 vertebra in a practice crash at Misano and sat out the San Marino Grand Prix as a result, said he would take a final decision on whether he would race at Aragon after Friday practice runs. And, despite having been declared fit by the medical staff and finishing a credible sixth in FP1, the Italian will not race at Aragon after all as he is suffering from neck pain. Ducati test rider Michele Pirro, who replaced Iannone at Misano and finished seventh, was on standby at Aragon and will now duly take over the Desmosedici GP16. Iannone's...
