Ducati MotoGP boss Gigi Dall’Igna has re-iterated his disappointment at the sport’s decision to ban winglets at the end of the season, saying safety has been used as an excuse to hamper his team. It was announced in June that the aerodynamic devices, which Ducati pioneered last year, will not be permitted in 2017, following similar bans in Moto3 and Moto2 this season.
