Espargaro, Baz escape serious injury in horror shunt
Tech 3 Yamaha's Pol Espargaro and Avintia Ducati's Loris Baz have both escaped serious injury after coming together on the opening lap of the MotoGP race at Silverstone. Espargaro and Baz crashed heavily while trying to clear Danilo Petrucci on entry to the Maggots/Becketts section, the duo both launched off their bikes at a high speed. The crash yielded a red flag, with both riders stretchered off after receiving medical attention. However, their respective teams confirmed that neither rider was seriously hurt in the crash.
