MotoGP: Lowes delighted with rookie progress
Alex Lowes has been left delighted with his progress during his Monster Yamaha Tech 3 MotoGP wildcard at the British Grand Prix, after briefly topping Q1 before finishing only one place behind teammate Pole Espargaró only minutes after making his debut on the bike in the wet! Completing nearly fifty laps over the weekend in dry conditions, the Brit was forced to almost start from scratch when wet weather arrived at Silverstone – but rose to the challenge admirably to qualify a strong 16th.
