Cal Crutchlow masters the wet to claim British MotoGP pole position
Briton's Cal Cruthlow will start his home race from pole position just a fortnight after claiming his maiden MotoGP victory. The LCR Honda rider eased to pole at Silverstone by a second in wet conditions on Saturday, posting his fastest lap - a 2m19.265s - with seven minutes of the session remaining. His time went unchallenged as the checkered flag fell on the session. Valentino Rossi will line up in second place for Yamaha ahead of Suzuki's Maverick Vinales, third.
