Crutchlow seizes home pole at wet Silverstone
– Cal Crutchlow backed up his maiden MotoGP victory with a sensational pole position in front of his home crowd at Silverstone.LCR Honda rider Crutchlow surged to the top of the times in wet conditions with a lap of 2:19.265 during the early stages of the session.As heavy rain continued to affect Silverstone no-one was able to trouble Crutchlow's lap, until Eugene Laverty recorded quick sector times mid-way around the lap.However, Laverty lost control of his bike at Farm and tumbled to the ground, ultimately winding up sixth.Valentino Rossi emerged as Crutchlow's closest competitor, 0.998s down, with Maverick Viñales in third place.Dani Pedrosa took fourth as fifth-placed Marc...
