KTM boss suggests Lorenzo not worth Ducati's money

KTM CEO Stefan Pierer has belittled Jorge Lorenzo following the problems the Yamaha rider has had in the wet, and has questioned the salary Ducati will have to pay him next season. In a recent interview with Italian weekly Motosprint, Pierer was very critical of the reigning world champion, and questioned the financial effort Ducati has had to make to hire the Spaniard for 2017. "How much does Ducati pay Lorenzo? 12 million? And despite that, they are not even sure they can win, because when it rains he has a lot of problems," said Pierer.
