Silverstone MotoGP: Marquez beats Vinales by 0.003s in FP3
Marc Marquez set the pace in Saturday morning practice for the the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, narrowly hanging on to the top spot as Maverick Vinales fell just three thousandths short on his final lap. On another cool morning at the Northamptonshire track, few riders were able to improve on their best times from Friday until the closing moments of the session using new tyres. Honda rider Marquez set the pace early on with a 2m02.251s, eight tenths slower than the benchmark established by Ducati's Andrea Iannone in second practice, with Vinales taking over at the halfway point with a 2m01.539s.
