Lorenzo: “With no wet races, I could have been leading”
Jorge Lorenzo believes that he could have been leading the MotoGP championship this season had there not been any wet races. The reigning champion finds himself third in the points with seven races remaining, 59 behind leader Marc Marquez, having lost major ground to his chief rival in the last four races. Of those, three – Assen, Sachsenring and Brno – have been held in wet or mixed conditions, where Lorenzo has tended to struggle for pace in the past.
