Tech 3 was “never designed to succeed”, says Smith
Bradley Smith says his current Tech 3 Yamaha team was “never designed to be successful” because of having to use year-old machinery. After a tough first part of the season, Smith vented his frustration in Austria with a lack of progress made by the French squad, which in recent seasons has run Yamaha machinery handed down by the factory team at the end of each campaign. Speaking in Brno, the Briton re-iterated his stance, suggesting that the philosophy of having a team using older machinery means there is always an "anchor" on results.
