Vinales brake issue meant he “didn’t even try” in qualifying
Suzuki’s Maverick Vinales blamed a brake problem for his lacklustre showing qualifying for the Czech Grand Prix. After showing strong form in practice, Vinales could only qualify eighth, consigning him to a third-row start. “First exit, I went with the H [hard front] because I tried it in FP4 and it was OK, but when I pushed it hard it was jumping a lot,” said Vinales. “So I had to come in and change to the K [medium], and then they have a problem when they put on the tyre, I didn’t have all the pressure on the brakes and the bike was not braking full power. “It was impossible, when I exited the box I already knew something was wrong.
