Dovizioso bullish about Ducati’s pace on worn tyres
Andrea Dovizioso says he is confident that Ducati will be able to maintain its speed over a race distance in Austria, declaring himself satisfied with his pace on worn tyres. Ducati has been considered odds-on favourite for its first MotoGP win in nearly six years after dominating last month’s test at the Red Bull Ring, with Andrea Iannone duly taking pole position. However, the Italian marque’s rivals were closer than many had predicted, with Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi splitting the works Ducatis by qualifying second, ahead of Dovizioso.
