Rossi insists Ducati victory in Austria not foregone conclusion
Valentino Rossi says it’s too early to give up on beating the works Ducati riders in this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix despite the Italian marque’s big practice advantage. Andrea Dovizioso topped the times in second practice on Friday at the Red Bull Ring, leading teammate Andrea Iannone by 0.238s – and the nearest non-Ducati rider, Maverick Vinales, by 0.854s. It followed on from Ducati’s domination of last month’s two-day test at the Spielberg track, which has led to widespread predictions of the Italian marque ending its MotoGP losing streak of nearly six years this weekend. But Rossi, who was fourth-fastest in practice behind Vinales, said it was too early to admit defeat....
