Pirro gets Ducati wildcard outing in Austria
– Michele Pirro will return to MotoGP action with Ducati after the manufacturer confirmed he will ride a third Desmosedici at this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix.Pirro has typically made a handful of outings per season with Ducati through his role as test rider, as well as being called upon to replace injured competitors.Pirro, who raced for Ducati in Italy, competed in three rounds earlier this season in place of Danilo Petrucci at Pramac, before filling in for Loris Baz at Avintia for two further events, as both recovered from injuries."I am happy once again to race with my team after the last experiences as replacement for Petrucci and Baz," said Pirro."I like the...
