MotoGP Safety Commission makes proposals for Barcelona layout
The meeting of the MotoGP Safety Commission in Assen on Friday evening has produced two main proposals for the future layout of the Barcelona circuit in the wake of Luis Salom's death. All but three of the 21 riders that make up the current MotoGP grid - Stefan Bradl, Yonny Hernandez and Scott Redding - were present for the meeting, up from 10 at the previous summit in Spain. Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo were in particular singled out for criticism for failing to show up after the Barcelona meeting, which took place on the evening that Moto2 rider Salom was killed in a violent practice crash, but vowed to attend in Assen.
