Suzuki confirms departure of Yamaha-bound Vinales
Suzuki has officially announced that Maverick Vinales will part ways with the team at the end of the 2016 MotoGP season. Motorsport.com revealed last week that Vinales, after several weeks of indecision, has finally decided to take up Yamaha's offer to join Valentino Rossi next season. A statement released by Suzuki on Thursday reads: "All the Suzuki family is extremely grateful to Vinales for his contribution to the growth of the MotoGP project and the development of the GSX-RR, as well as for the great results they have achieved together.
