Rossi cruises to first 2016 win at Jerez
– Valentino Rossi controlled proceedings at the Spanish Grand Prix to pick up his first victory of the 2016 season, ahead of Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo and Honda's Marc Márquez.Rossi led away from pole position at Jerez and swatted away an initial threat from Lorenzo to ease clear of his team-mate, before eventually coming home almost five seconds clear.Rossi's Jerez success is his 87th win in the premier class and his first since triumphing at a damp Silverstone last August.More to followThe next round of the season takes place at Le Mans from May 6 – 8
