Front row crucial for second fastest Pedrosa
Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa stressed the importance of starting from the front row of the grid after qualifying second quickest for the Qatar MotoGP. Pedrosa beat his team-mate Marc Marquez into second place as he finished 0.217s off the pole time set by Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso and hailed his place on row one for the night race at Losail as a 'great thing'. “We were working a lot during the practice and trying to get the best feeling for the race, but I think today it was important to be on the front row,” Pedrosa said. “We could see that ever the factory riders and non-factory riders' lap times were very good and all the laps were really, really tight.
