MotoGP opens up entry for final 2017 grid slot
The final spot on the 2017 MotoGP grid is to be offered to any teams with an interest in the available place as it aims for a complete formation. With KTM entering MotoGP with two full-factory efforts next year the current grid will bolster to 23, one short of the targeted 24. As a result, the International Road Racing Teams' Assciation (IRTA), FIM and MotoGP commercial rights holders Dorna will create a select committee and is welcoming applicants forward. Teams considered to be potential candidates for the entry will then be given further details of the conditions of participation and asked to submit full details of their project. The initial submission deadline is Friday 29th April.
