Rossi withdraws CAS penalty points appeal
– Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi has dropped his appeal against the three penalty points which he received for colliding with Honda rival Marc Márquez at the Malaysian Grand Prix.Tensions between the pair boiled over at Sepang and the pair clashed on track, with Márquez forced out of the race before Rossi went on to finish in third.Rossi was given three penalty points for the incident, which allied to the one he collected at Misano, meant he had to start from the back of the grid for his title showdown with team-mate Jorge Lorenzo at Valencia.Rossi sought to overturn the penalty and initially appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport for a stay of execution, which was duly...
