Rossi admits he needs to raise his game at Sachsenring

MotoGP points leader Valentino Rossi says he will “have to try to do better” after the opening day of practice for the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring. The Yamaha legend struggled for overall pace in the second session on Friday, as he was trying out the asymmetric Bridgestone tyre on the unusual track, which has 10 left-hand corners. He finished seventh fastest, and didn't improve on his morning time. "Today wasn't so bad because we started quite strong this morning," said Rossi, who was second fastest in FP1.
