MotoGP Assen: Redding mystified by lack of pace

Britain’s Scott Redding is mystified by his lack of pace on the first day of MotoGP free practice at Assen but at least knows in which sectors he is losing time at the Dutch track. The Estrella Gallicia Marc VDS man ended the day in 14th place on combined times with a 1’34.643 - more than a second slower than Dani Pedrosa, who is on an almost identical RC213V but set the outright lap record in free practice two.
