PICTURES: Mandalika makes final preparations for MotoGP

When free practice begins at Mandalika on Friday it will mark the first official motorcycle grand prix laps in Indonesia since Sentul in 1997. But the picturesque seaside circuit on the island of Lombok (next to Bali) has had plenty to do since February's pre-season test, most notably emergency resurfacing on around 25% of the circuit; extending from before Turn 17 (the final corner) until after Turn 5. Extensive cleaning has also been carried out due to very dusty and dirty conditions at the test, while construction work has continued on the circuit and infrastructure.
