Augusto Fernandez completes a perfect Friday double during free practice for the season-opening Qatar Moto2 Grand Prix. Fernandez beat his FP1 time by over one-second by the end of FP2, which was held in sunset conditions, similar to Sunday's race.  Second to Fernandez this morning, Jake Dixon highsided on the exit of Turn 1 in the closing minutes and was slipped to tenth. With tomorrow's FP3 taking place in hotter (slower) afternoon conditions, the top 14 receiving direct access to Qualifying 2 may well have been decided this evening...
