Marc Marquez to undergo shoulder surgery after test crash
MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez has confirmed that he will undergo surgery on Wednesday for a recurring shoulder problem. The Honda rider injured his shoulder during qualifying for the Malaysian round earlier this month when he was thrown from his bike at Turn 2. It was initially thought he'd escaped injury but during testing this week at the Jerez circuit the Spaniard crashed, and during a trip to the medical centre it transpired that he had actually injured his shoulder in Sepang, and then further aggravated the problem during his Jerez fall.
