Matteo Ferrari secured the double as he cruised to victory in the second MotoE contest at Misano, extending his title advantage to 19 with only two races remaining. Ferrari held his second place starting spot off the line and followed pole-man Alex De Angelis throughout the first tour, quickly closing in on the leader. Not content to stay behind though, Ferrari passed the local man with a daring around-the-outside move at Turn 2 heading onto the second lap, quickly building an advantage as De Angelis began to struggle for speed.
