Austria to remain on MotoGP calendar until at least 2025
MotoGP will continue to visit the Red Bull Ring in Austria until at least 2025, Dorna announced at the circuit following qualifying. MotoGP returned to Austria after a near two decade break-the last race being held at the then-called A1 Ring in 1997- in 2016. The event has turned out to be a huge success, therefore leading Dietrich Mateschitz- CEO of circuit owner Red Bull- and Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta to shake hands on a new deal that covers the next five years. “It makes me very happy to announce that we will be returning to this track until at least 2025,” said Ezpeleta. “I think everyone would agree it’s one of the most beautiful circuits in the world and...
