Fabio Quartararo explains ‘unfortunate’ Sachsenring MotoGP crash

Fabio Quartararo says his early German GP crash was caused by simply carrying “too much speed’ with “too much lean angle” as he tried to overtake Danilo Petrucci. Quartararo, who had qualified second for the race, made a strong start and looked like he would be able to take the lead of the race from pole-man Marc Marquez as they entered Turn 1. Marquez was able to go around the outside of the Frenchman who had braked slightly early, allowing both Jack Miller and Alex Rins to get past.
